American History Honors

December 11, 2013

Mrs. Estes' American History Honors classes are focusing on the beginning of World War II.  In this unit we will examine how the Treaty of Versailles laid the foundation to the roots of World War II.  This will also be expanded into the effect of the differing political ideas of European dictators with American democracy.  Explaining the importance of America's involvement in the Pacific theater and their role in the D-Day invasion will also be included.  We will examine the effects of World War II on the economy of the United States.  We will compare and contrast the pros and cons of using the atomic bomb and how it led to the cold war.
