Honors Biology Class

October 11, 2013

Jointed legs, exoskeleton, segmented bodies.  Sound familiar?  We are talking about the Arthropods.  Arthropods compose nearly two-thirds of all living things on Earth.  Honors Biology Students are collecting, pinning, and identifying arthropods for a project.  With over a million species to choose from, students are given the task of finding 30 different species comprising 10 different Orders.  They must capture, pin, tag, and identify each arthropod.  So if you see an interesting insect, spider, or other crawly thing, look for a biology student, they will be able to tell you all that you need to know about it.
