Anatomy and Physiology with Mr. Zarate

October 27, 2014

Exactly how many ways are there to skin a cat?  The anatomy and physiology classes are looking at just that.  During the last few weeks we have been studying skin.  With over 21.5 square feet covering your body, your skin is the largest organ that we have.  Anatomy students have learned the layers of skin and their functions and then used this information to study the skins of their cats they will be using during the course of the year.  In order to do so the first thing they did with their cats is to remove the skin.  Finally they will be observing the skin layers under the dissecting microscope to see exactly what they have been learning.
