Mr. Bell's American History Class

September 18, 2015

The freshman American history class spent the week discussing the rise of the two political parties: The Federalists & Democratic-Republicans.  Students read about the issues, key people and events during the 1790’s and the Adams presidency.  Students then paired up and created political campaign commercials about either the Federalists or Democratic-Republicans.  Students wrote out their campaign scripts, recorded it, and added supporting images & background audio to create a polished campaign commercial.  This project is leading up to our discussion of the 1800 election of Thomas Jefferson and how he was able to influence the direction of the new country.
