Computer Programming I students become “Java” addicts!

November 1, 2016

Not the tasty hot beverage, but instead, one of the most prolific computer languages in the world.  Students in Mr. Patocka’s Computer Programming I class have immersed themselves in Java. Java is a programming language found in everything from Blu Ray players, to cell phones, computer programs and according to the zdnet.com, over three billion devices currently run on Java.  By teaching students Java, we are giving them the advantage of “speaking” a computer language that will help them find competitive, high paying jobs both domestically and abroad.  While we are only in the early stages in Computer Programming I, students are mastering the basic functions of Java and will move into mobile device application creation before the end of the semester.
