D.C. Trip Wonderful Opportunity

March 27, 2017

A few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to be a school sponsor for the Senior Trip to Washington D.C. This trip was very beneficial to me in many ways. The first of course were the sites of D.C. I had visited Washington D.C. when I was younger, but was only able to spend a day in the city and only visit a few attractions. This trip gave me the opportunity to visit many of our countries greatest monuments and museums. This trip also gave me the opportunity to get to know some of the senior class that I did not know before. As most of my students are juniors, I am only familiar with a handful of seniors who I know from coaching.  Spending time with the students and talking with them was very nice.

Also, Spring is here and with that so is Track season. This year will be my 5th year coaching the pole vault for the Lexington High School track team. I have a few returning Evil Knievels and a couple freshmen boys who have a little crazy in them as well. I look forward to the possibilities the new season brings and hope the best for the athletes in reaching some of their goals. It looks like it will be an exciting track season with a young team all around.
