Minutemen Marching Band to Perform at NSBA

On Saturday, October 22, 2016 the Lexington High School Marching Band will be participating in the 34th Nebraska State Bandmasters Association State Marching Contest at UNK. 

In it's 34th year, the State Marching Contest is held at 3 sites in 2 styles.  Millard Public Schools is hosting a competition style contest featuring 14 bands where awards will be presented to Class Champions, Overall Champion, Best Percussion, Best Auxiliary, Best Music Performance, Best Visual Performance, and Best Overall Effect.  Lincoln Southeast is hosting a festival style contest at Seacrest field featuring 24 bands where bands are scored against a rubric and awarded trophies for a "Superior" or "Excellent" performance.  The University of Nebraska - Kearney is also hosting a festival style contest at Ron and Carol Cope Stadium featuring 23 bands.  Lexington’s performance time is scheduled for 8:45 pm at UNK.

The Lexington High School Marching Band is under the direction of Chad Scharff, Spencer Hansen, and Frankie Pineda.
