This spring semester we are trying something new for science class.  We are trying a peer-teaching model.  The students have been split into groups of 3-4 students, and those students have to “teach” the lesson, create a worksheet, activity/experiment, and a test.  They are responsible for grading the worksheet, test and any assignment that relates to the activity.  The experiments and activities have been educational as well as fun.  These students are very creative and resourceful.
